Welcome to CommunityLinks Switzerland.
CommunityLinks is a non-profit association, created in 2009 by a group of expat families that lived in the Canton of Zug who wanted to find a way to give back to their community. Formalised as an association in 2013, CommunityLinks has since worked on different projects.
The main project is the annual Christmas Party for the Children of Asylum Seekers living in the Canton of Zug. Over the years, more than 1,500 asylum seekers’ children were invited with their families to share a festive evening with dinner, games, and gifts.

CommunityLinks is also starting projects to help support Ukrainian families arriving in the Canton of Zug and Zurich.
- School backpacks for children
We are organizing school backpacks with school supplies for as many children as we can. These will be for children living in shelters and children living with host families. As they arrive and register in the region, they will start at their new schools. By having a backpack of supplies ready to go, we hope they will feel more comfortable and confident starting their new adventure.
You can help by donating complete kits or sponsor a kit here.
- Coffee Mornings in Canton Zurich, Affoltern am Albis
CommunityLinks, in coordination with Integration Hedingen and the Familienzentrum Affoltern am Albis, has organized a weekly coffee morning for Ukrainian refugees of all ages who are now living in the Säuliamt region.
If you would like to volunteer to offer a homemade cake or breads for one of the weekly meetings, please register here.
